Language is not just a means of communication; it is the voice of our identity, culture, and soul. When we worship God in our mother tongue, it touches our hearts in a deeper, more personal way. Praises in the Limbu language carry the warmth of our heritage and make our fellowship more meaningful and intimate.
Worship in our own language brings us closer to Christ as a community. It allows every believer, young and old, to understand the Word of God clearly and to express their faith freely. Singing hymns, reading Scripture, and praying in Limbu strengthens our unity and ensures that the next generation will inherit both their faith and their identity.
LCLF promotes Limbu language learning because it believes that spiritual growth must go hand in hand with cultural preservation. By teaching and using our mother tongue in worship, we:
• Encourage inclusivity so that no one feels left out in fellowship,
• Preserve the richness of our cultural identity within Christ,
• Pass down faith and tradition to the younger generation in a language they can proudly call their own,
• And above all, glorify God with the unique voice He has gifted our community.
In Christ, diversity of languages is not a barrier but a beautiful testimony of His creation. By worshiping in Limbu together, we not only grow in Christ but also ensure that His kingdom is proclaimed through the voice of our people.
